Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
| Q: |
How far away is grocery shopping, medical access, internet, etc.? |
| A: |
Convenience stores are close by. Larger shopping areas are in the adjacent town of Epping, NH. There is no broadband or phone line at the cabin, although if you have a cell phone and laptop - you may be able to make your internet connection in that fashion. |
| Q: |
Exactly where is Kennard Hill Cabin? |
| A: |
It is basically a mile from Pawtuckaway Lake on the East side. We will provide precise driving directions after you make your reservation. |
| Q: |
Is there cell phone access in this location? |
| A: |
Yes! A cell phone tower happens to be within in the vicinity allowing for very strong signal strength. |
| Q: |
Is smoking allowed on the premiss? |
| A: |
Yes, outside and on the porch. |
| Q: |
Can we bring our dogs?
|
| A: |
Yes, we are pet friendly and usually accept pets. Let us know what pets you are considering so we can make a decision. You are of course responsible for their actions. |
| Q: |
Do we need a 4x4 to get to your cabin? |
| A: |
If you have access to a four wheel drive, I would suggest using it. If not, a high ground clearance vehicle is recommended. The access road is only lightly maintained. A low slung sedan would have difficulty accessing the cabin. You may attempt to navigate the jeep/access road with your sedan "at your own risk". |
| Q: |
Is there hunting allowed on the premiss? |
| A: |
Hunting is allowed on the land during NH recognized seasons with a recognized NH hunting license. Hunting is also allowed on much of the surrounding area. |
| Q: |
Are you allowed to fish? |
| A: |
Fishing is allowed a short distance at Pawtuckaway Lake. A recognized NH state fishing license is required. There is also a good size bass swamp on the property. |
| Q: |
Are advance reservations neccessary? |
| A: |
It is highly recommended. But if you are traveling on short notice - feel free to give a call and it may be possible to accommodate you depending on availability. 603-234-2801 or 679-8243 |
